The cost of motor fuel in Zimbabwe’s turbulent economy is $8 a litre. (How Australian drivers would howl !). But the reach of the centre is vast. Vulnerable children often living alone are scattered over a wide area. Transport is essential. The Centre’s eight-seater Ford Van often carries many more than the suggested number. This precious little van, (purchased in Japan for $3000 but cost three times that amount after local taxes), supplied by Rotary, has multiplied the possibility of the Centre’s outreach.
